Night Runner

http://www.publicdomainpictures.net

Night runner
flees ghosts of day,
rustles curtain of dark,
startles girl in red.
Nighthawks jeer
overhead.

(I was inspired to write this quick poem while running at night, hearing nighthawks call overhead as they hunted insects, and unintentionally startling people I passed by.  Running at night can be a meditative, if eerie, experience.)
